What is a library catalog? A library catalog is a database. It is made up of records that represent each item owned by the library. Traditional library catalogs were referred to as card catalogs; so named because of the drawers full of cards they contained. Today library catalogs are automated and available for searching on the internet. Search the catalog to find books and other items available for your use at the J.F. Hicks Library, as well as links to electronic resources. |
